There is a simple rule of thought in Central America, the further south you go, the worse the driving gets. Yea, Belize is no exception. I got to drive today, and thanks to driving for 22 years in Mexico I survived!!
Yesterday we went to Belmopan. The Pastor we drove with suffers from night vision problems. Every time a car would come with the lights on from the other direction, the Pastor would almost pull his car off the road onto the shoulder at 60 miles per hour. I still thought that was safer than when the cars on the other side didn’t have their lights on!! OH, Glory Halleluiah! It really got interesting when we drove past the crocodile reserve!!
After an hour or so of high adrenalin driving we arrived in Belmopan. Three small churches had gathered together. They were excited that we had come from far away to share with them the love of Jesus. Pastor Mario led the worship and praise. He has a heart of a worshipper, and simply enjoyed being with God’s people and having the opportunity to help us worship God. The drummer was barefoot, the vocalists were excited. The Caribbean rhythm permeated everything. Everyone was dancing and swaying and worshipping, lost in the praises of God.
Then they asked me to share with them. I shared with them about how Moses prayed for Joshua, and when Moses lifted his hands, Joshua prevailed. But when Moses dropped his hands, the Amalekites prevailed. Aaron and Hur had to help Moses pray. All of us in God’s Kingdom work together with each other to prevail. Belize is part of God’s plan for worldwide evangelism. Belize has people from all over the world. Two days ago we ate at a restaurant. The hostess was from Guatemala, the waitress from
the Czech Republic, and the Chef from Italy!! You hear 12 languages in a single day. The churches here lack discipleship and depth of ministry and growth. Please pray for us in these last few days that we can be a blessing to the churches here and serve them.

Tonight 6 churches will be meeting in one of the city parks in Belize City. Please pray for us that we can share the love of Jesus with the city tonight.
Thank you so much for your prayers. I have slept well every night, and we have not had even the slightest hint of danger or violence. Praise the Lord for his goodness.
